Flow Control App
The flow control app is essentially an alternative call route that you can easily activate or deactivate. This route may include one or multiple actions (such as quickly activating voicemail or call forwarding), and multiple diversions can be created. Each diversion receives its own unique code, which can be entered on all IP phones to switch the diversion on or off. An audio confirmation indicates whether the diversion has been activated or deactivated. Once the diversion is set up on the phone system, logging into the panel to toggle the diversion is no longer necessary.
When the diversion app is dragged into the Dial Plan, you'll be prompted to configure the following settings:
Under 'Select a shortcut', enter your preferred code to activate the diversion. This code consists of the internal number of the Dial Plan (e.g., the last four digits of the phone number), followed by an asterisk [*] and a sequential number you choose. In the example above, the sequential number is 1.
The diversion can then be activated or deactivated by dialing (in this example) 3242*1. An audio message will indicate whether the diversion has been activated or deactivated.
Under 'Label', you can assign a name to the diversion; this name will appear in the app dial plan's name.
Under 'Status of this diversion', you can use the toggle switch to pre-set the diversion status to either on or off.
Tip: If you use a Yealink phone, you can activate the Dial Plan Diversion as a button on your device. This allows you to immediately see the status of the diversion.
