Call Rules
Call Rules are used to configure call routing for your phone system’s call routes. You can set up routes for calls to "External" phone numbers or "Local numbers" here.
Our user-friendly drag-and-drop system makes configuring Dial Plans easy and intuitive.
Using Dial Plan Apps, you can create extensive and flexible call routes.
Some Dial Plan Apps can be created and configured through the tabs at the top of the Dial Plans page. These include voicemail boxes, fax boxes, queues, time conditions, and IVR menus.
Call Route Rules:
Call routes follow a standard order: they start at the top and progress downwards when applicable.
When a Dial Plan App is activated, the system follows the steps configured within that action. If possible, it will complete all the steps before moving on to the next action.
Endpoints in Dial Plans:
Some Dial Plan Apps function as endpoints. This means that the system cannot proceed to the next step in the plan but will instead take the call to another destination or disconnect it (using the Hang Up app). Common endpoints include:
Transfers to different Dial Plans
Mailboxes
Fax Boxes
IVR Menus
