Introduction
Want to make and receive business calls directly from Microsoft Teams? You're in the right place.
By connecting Kwebbl to Teams through the Call2Teams connector, your users get a fully integrated calling experience inside Teams: no separate softphone, no switching apps. Just Teams, with your Kwebbl telephony powering it behind the scenes.
This guide walks you through the complete setup from start to finish — from licensing and provisioning to linking your first user. It's written for both resellers configuring this on behalf of a customer, and IT admins setting it up for their own organization.
The setup takes about 30–60 minutes in total, depending on Microsoft's sync times.

Before You Begin
Make sure you have the following ready before starting:
On the Microsoft side:
A Microsoft 365 account with Global Admin rights on the tenant you're configuring
A Microsoft Phone System license (included in E5, or as an add-on for M365 Business / E1 / E3) assigned to each end-user
One or two spare Office 365 licenses (Business Essentials/Premium, E1/E3/E5) — only needed temporarily during setup
On the Kwebbl side:
Access to the Company Panel
SIP credentials for each user (you'll create these during the guide)
A Call2Teams invite sent to your organization — if you haven't received one yet, contact Kwebbl support to request it
Step 1 — Request Your Call2Teams Invite & Licenses
Before anything else, contact Kwebbl support to get your organization set up in the Call2Teams portal. To process your request, we'll need the following information:
The email address to send the Call2Teams invite to — note that during the configuration you will need access to a Global Admin account of the Microsoft 365 tenant
The number of licenses needed
Whether you want a trial or live license
Once we have this, Kwebbl will set everything up and send the invite to the provided email address. Accept the invite before proceeding to the next step.
Good to know about trial licenses
Trial licenses are valid for 30 days from the date of your request
Trials are limited to a maximum of 25 licenses per company
After the trial, your licenses are not automatically upgraded — you'll need to contact Kwebbl support to convert them to live licenses

Step 2 — Run the Prerequisites Check
The Call2Teams wizard guides you through the entire setup. When you first log in, it opens automatically on the Getting Started page.
Go to admin.call2teams.com and log in.
You'll land on the Prerequisites tab of the wizard — "Welcome to the Call2Teams Wizard".
Click Check My Tenant to let Call2Teams verify your Microsoft 365 environment.
A Microsoft login window will appear — log in with the Global Admin account of the tenant you are setting up.
Call2Teams will now check all prerequisites and display the results with green checkmarks ✅ or warnings ⚠️.
About the warnings you may see:
You may see a pop-up stating:
Ensure you have sufficient licenses before you continue: You need at least one unassigned Microsoft Teams Phone Resource Account license on your tenant if using Phone App.
You can safely ignore this and click Close. Kwebbl does not use the Phone App, so this license is not required.
All other items should show green. Once satisfied, click Next.

Step 3 — Skip the PBX Configuration Page
The wizard will now open the PBX tab.
Kwebbl has already configured the correct trunk settings in the background. The page will show the existing Kwebbl trunk profile with the correct SIP domain (sip.kwebbl.net), IP ranges, and other settings pre-filled.
Making changes here could create a second trunk profile that does not follow Kwebbl's configuration guidelines, which may lead to unexpected calling behavior.
Simply scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Next.

Step 4 — Connect Microsoft Teams (Enable Service)
The wizard now moves to the Teams tab. This is where Call2Teams links to your Microsoft 365 tenant and activates it for calling.
Make sure the Enable Sync checkbox is ticked ✅.
Click Enable Service.
One or more Microsoft login windows will appear. Log in with the Global Admin credentials of the customer's tenant and click Accept to grant Call2Teams the necessary permissions.
The portal will now display "Syncing" — this process can take up to 15 minutes.
When finished, the Sync Now button will show a green checkmark ✅ and the Next button will turn blue and become clickable.
Click Next to continue.

Step 5 — Create SIP Credentials in Kwebbl
Before adding users in the wizard, you first need to create a SIP device for each user in Kwebbl.
Open a new tab and log in to the Kwebbl Company Panel.
Go to Devices → Add Device.
Set the device type to Other.
Enter Teams as the device name and assign the corresponding user.
Save the device — Kwebbl will generate a SIP username and SIP password.
Note down the following for each user — you'll need them in the next step:
Internal number (extension)
SIP username
SIP password

Step 6 — Add Your First User
The wizard now takes you to the Users tab. Here you'll link the first Kwebbl user to their Microsoft Teams account.
Under Teams, select the Teams user from the Select a User dropdown.
Enter the user's phone number in the Phone Number field — this can be either their internal extension or their direct external number if they have one. If you're using the internal extension, ignore the leading country code (+31, +49, etc.).
Under Kwebbl, enter the SIP username in both the SIP Username and Auth Username fields.
Enter the SIP password in the Password field.
Click Add User.
You'll now see a confirmation screen: "Congratulations, your service is now ready for calling."

Step 7 — Add Additional Users (if needed)
If you have more users to configure, you can add them directly from the confirmation screen.
Click Add Another User and repeat the steps from Step 6 for each additional user.
Once all users are added, click the Sync Now button to push all changes to Microsoft.
