👥 Creating User Groups

Within the 👤 Users section of the company panel, you can create and manage User Groups.

User Groups are a powerful way to organize users with similar roles or responsibilities. These groups can be used in 📞 Huntgroups within the telephony environment, helping you manage call routing and improve team collaboration.

You can also assign 🔒 permissions to these user groups. This allows members to manage certain features—such as 📋 dial plans—without giving them full administrative access to the company panel.

For example:
➡️ If a group has permission to manage dial plans, members can edit the 🔁 forwarding options of those dial plans directly in the 📱 Qaller App, while still keeping limited access rights.

Add a new Group

User Groups allow you to organize users and give them access to manage specific dial plans in the 📱 Qaller App — without granting full admin rights to the company panel.

When you add a Dialplan to a group, all members of that group will be able to manage that dial plan’s forwarding settings directly in Qaller.

🧭 How to Create a New Group

  1. Go to:
➡️ Users → Groups → Add new group

  2. Enter the group name 🏷️

    • In the “Name of the group” field, type a clear and descriptive name (e.g., Support Team or Sales Group).

    • This field is required.

  3. Set a call pickup code ☎️

    • In “Call pickup short code”, enter the code users will dial to pick up calls for this group (e.g., *8).

  4. Choose a group color 🎨

    • Select a color for the group box to make it visually easy to recognize.

  5. Add users or dial plans

    • Use the “Search User or Dialplan” field to find and add members.

    • Click the icon next to a name or dial plan to include it in the group.

    • Adding a Dialplan means all group members can manage that plan in Qaller.

  6. Review the list of members 👀

    • Added users and dial plans will appear in the List of Members on the right-hand side.

  7. Click “Create”

    • Once everything looks correct, click Create to save your new group.
