Announcement app

With our new Announcement App, formerly known as the Sound App, recording a new announcement is easier than ever. It is now possible to record a new announcement from any device (fixed, Qaller, or WebCalls). A shortened number can be set for each Announcement App within the call plan.

By dialing the shortened number, users will hear a menu offering the following options:

• Listen to the current announcement;

• Record a new announcement;

• Delete an announcement.

Setting up the new Announcement App

The Announcement App is available in all Company call plans. To set up the new Announcement App, follow these steps:

• Add an Announcement App to the call plan;

• Select an announcement;

• Enable the option 'Allow dynamic recording of this announcement';

• Set a shortened number for the Announcement App; and

• Save the changes.

When the option 'Allow dynamic recording of this announcement' is enabled, setting a shortened dial number is mandatory. This shortened number must be unique within the call plan in which the Announcement App is being used.

Recording a new announcement

By dialing the shortened number, users will access a menu allowing them to:

• Listen to the current announcement;

• Record a new announcement;

• Delete an announcement.

If a dynamically recorded announcement is active, it will also become visible in the call plan. Within the call plan, it is possible to listen to, download, or delete the recorded announcement.

The Announcement App is only available within the Company call plan. If a call plan is copied, the announcements will not be copied.
